Since hitting the TV screens in 2002, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here has remained one of the most popular shows in the UK. Throughout the 21 series, fans have followed their favorite celebrity contestants' journey to survive in the Australian jungle without luxuries or contact from the outside world. As the highly-anticipated show is set to return to Australia for the 2023 series after two years at Gwrych Castle in North Wales due to the Covid-19 pandemic, let's take a look back at previous winners from 21 series so far and what they are doing after winning the much-coveted crown.

Series 1: Tony Blackburn
BBC veteran Tony Blackburn became the first King of the Jungle in 2002, impressing the audience with his natural sense of humor. After the triumph, the 77-year-old presenter went back to his profession and has since hosted a wide variety of BBC radio shows, including Sounds of the 60, BBC Radio London, Saturday Lunchtime, and Tony's Blackburn's Playlist. In 2020, Blackburn launched a new series of podcasts titled Ricky and Tony's Pop Detectives alongside co-host Ricky Wilson.
Series 2: Phil Tufnell
Phil Tufnell was a famous England cricketer with a successful sports career. Fresh from retirement, he joined I'm A Celeb in 2003 and won the show's second series. Afterward, the 56-year-old went on to become a popular TV personality thanks to his cheerful behavior. His notable reality rounds include popular quiz shows They Think It’s All Over and BBC’s A Question of Sport. In 2009, he made an appearance in Strictly Come Dancing and reached the dance competition's ninth round. Series 3: Kerry Katona
Kerry Katona entered I'm A Celeb 2004 as a famous singer from the British all-girl pop band Atomic Kitten. Thanks to her joyful characteristic and famous friendships with Katie Price and Peter Andre, the former singer went down in I'm A Celeb's history as the first-ever Queen of the Jungle. After winning the crown, Katona has appeared on a string of shows, such as Dancing On Ice, Loose Women, Good Morning Britain, and Celebrity Big Brother, where she finished runner-up in 2011.
Series 4: Joe Pasquale
In 2004, I'm A Celeb had two series, the latter of which was won by Joe Pasquale - a famous English comedian and TV presenter. After leaving the show, the 60-year-old star presented the revived The Price is Right and also made an appearance on Dancing On Ice in 2013 and Dancing On Ice: All-Stars in 2014.
Series 5: Carol Thatcher
Carol Thatcher was the famous daughter of the UK's former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She became the second Queen of the Jungle after beating TV favorite David Dickinson in I'm A Celeb 2005. After leaving the show, Thatcher continued her journalism career as a BBC correspondent but was later sacked following an accusation of her racist comment to a black tennis player.
Series 6: Matt Willis
Matt Willis first rose to prominence as the vocalist of the three-piece band Busted, which earned him a place in I'm A Celeb 2006. He went on to win the show before landing other roles in a wide range of TV shows. From 2007 to 2008, Willis and his wife Emma hosted the spin-off of I'm A Celeb. He also formed a supergroup, which consisted of his former trio Busted and McFly, and achieved critical success with the new mash-up band McBusted.
Series 7: Christopher Biggins
Veteran actor Christopher Higgins revived his TV career in 2007 when he entered the Australian jungle and won the show thanks to his cheerful personality. After leaving the show, the 73-year-old star has remained a regular fixture on TV, with his most notable role in Celebrity Big Brother 2016. However, he only lasted nine days on the show after viewers accused him of making homophobic comments.
Series 8: Joe Swash
Joe Swash first found fame in 2003 as Mickey Miller in the BBC One soap opera EastEnders. In 2008, Joe Swash became the King of the Jungle, which earned him a hosting place in the show's spin-off from 2008 until his departure in 2019. The crown was not the only treasure that Swash took from I'm A Celeb, however, as he also met his other half - Stacey Solomon, and eventually married the show's 2010 winner in 2020. He became the champion of Dancing On Ice 2020.
Series 9: Gino D'Acampo
Italian chef Gino D'Acampo became the winner of I'm A Celeb in 2009. The triumph catapulted him into the limelight, earning D'Acampo a string of roles in various cooking shows such as Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, and Gino's Italian Escape. He also has a regular slot on This Morning where he cooks for presenting duo Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield. Aside from being a TV personality, D'Acampo is the owner of several restaurants across the UK.
Series 10: Stacey Solomon
Stacey Solomon first rose to fame as the runner-up on The X Factor 2009, before becoming Queen of the Jungle one year later. It was also thanks to I'm A Celeb that Solomon found her partner and now husband, Joe Swash. In 2015, Solomon released her first album, Shy before establishing herself as a regular Loose Women panelist in 2016.
Series 11: Dougie Poynter
Dougie Poynter was a bassist from the chart-topping English band McFly. He won I'm A Celeb in 2011, which helped jump-start his musical career. He continued to embark on tours with his band before joining former winner Matt Willis to form the mash-up band McBusted in 2013.
Series 12: Charlie Brooks
Season 12 winner Charlie Brooks was famous as Jannine Butcher on the BBC soap EastEnders before quitting the role in 2014. Aside from acting, Charlie is also a social media personality thanks to her fitness tutorials and books. Her fitness DVD even became the UK's best-selling fitness DVD release.
Series 13: Kian Egan
Kian Egan first burst into the public eye as the vocalist in the famous band Westlife. One year after Westlife disbanded, Kian Egan won I'm A Celeb 2013, which earned him a role as a coach on The Voice of Ireland. In 2018, he returned to Westlife for a reunion and released the single Hello My Love one year later.
Series 14: Carl Fogarty
Former motorcycle racer Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty became the winner of I'm A Celeb in 2014, impressing viewers with his aggressive competitiveness. Since leaving the show, the superbike champion has remained out of the spotlight and focused on charity work.
Series 15: Vicky Pattison
Vicky Pattison entered I'm A Celeb in 2015 with a view to reviving her fledging career after quitting Geordie Shore. After becoming Queen of the Jungle, she has become a regular fixture on daytime TV shows, such as Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Coach Trip, and This Morning. The 34-year-old star is also a regular panelist on Loose Women.
Series 16: Scarlett Moffatt
Series 16's winner was Scarlett Moffatt, who is famous for her role in the reviewing show Gogglebox. Following her triumph in the jungle, Moffatt has become one of the most active entertainers, with notable roles in Celebrity Bake Off, Apocalypse Wow, and The Chase Celebrity Special. The 32-year-old TV personality is also the co-host of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
Series 17: Georgia Toffolo
Georgia Toffolo rose to prominence thanks to her role in Made in Chelsea. Her down-to-earth personality helped Toffolo become the Queen of the Jungle in the I'm A Celeb 2017 series. After leaving the show, the 27-year-old TV personality landed a hosting gig on This Morning. Toffolo is also the author of several novels, such as Meet Me in London and Meet Me in Hawaii.
Series 18: Harry Redknapp
Former football coach Harry Redknapp managed various European clubs such as Tottenham, Queens Park Rangers, and Southampton. Fresh from retirement, he joined I'm A Celeb in 2018 as a favorite and eventually won the show. After the triumph in the jungle, Redknapp has been working as a sports pundit. His most recent appearance on TV screens was in 2021 with a small cameo role in EastEnders.
Series 19: Jacqueline Jossa
Another EastEnders star on this list, Jacqueline Jossa won I'm A Celeb series 19, which earned her a wealth of opportunities and lucrative brand deals. Her TV presence has remained relatively silent ever since, but the 29-year-old Queen of the Jungle is now the founder of her own clothing line called In The Style.
Series 20: Giovanna Fletcher
English author Giovanna Fletcher was the winner of the 20th series, which became the springboard for her career. Danny Miller, who was famous for his role as Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, was the first King of the Castle after I'm A Celeb couldn't take place in the Australian jungle due to the pandemic. His latest project is unveiled to be a Youtube weekly vlog, which will feature Miller alongside his wife Steph Jones and son Albert. The actor will also be seen on the stage as the lead character in Jack and The Beanstalk, which will run at the Bradford Theatre from December 10 to January 22 next year.
