At the age of 16, Taylor releases her debut track, Tim McGraw, which Rolling Stone claims she co-wrote while working after school at Sony Music. He stopped her halfway through on stage during her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video to advocate for Beyoncé's Single Ladies video, which he thought ought to have won. This incident marked the beginning of their epic, ten-year animosity.

At the 52nd Grammy Awards, Taylor received her first well-deserved Grammy. For her song White Horse, she received the Best Female Country Vocal Performance award. The third studio album by Taylor Swift, Speak Now, which won Favorite Country Album at the American Music Awards, is made available. In Guinness World Records, it also holds the title of Fastest Selling Digital Album by a Female Artist. Two Grammy Awards went to Mean, the best-performing song from the Speak Now album. Release of Taylor Swift's legendary, A-list-filled Bad Blood music video, which peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The big video featured her star-studded friendship group, including Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, and Jessica Alba, and it made quite a stir when it made its debut on the Billboard Music Awards before going viral right away.
